This movie is a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives to achieve that goal and evolve into a republic to the Constitution. America's struggle through revolution to evolve into a Democratic society is a memorable feat marked by incredible bravery at a time when colonialism was still an accepted practice. This was a great film and probably one of Mel Gibson's best roles despite the critics overall view of it.
